WORSHIP CHOIR & ORCHESTRA DIRECTOR
As a 12 year old boy my father encouraged me to make public my decision to accept the Lord Jesus as my Savior and my Lord. At age 33 I surrendered to full time Music Ministry and understood the Lord’s desire for me to complete my Masters preparation at Southwestern. After graduation I was ordained to the Gospel Ministry at First Baptist Tallahassee. At age 50 the Lord called me to a new vocation in Financial Planning. Since then I have achieved the designation of Certified Financial Planner ™ and established my own firm: J Ferguson Financial, Inc.
The Lord continues to place worship ministry on my heart and, with my wife, Kay, I have looked to Florida churches with traditional or blended worship styles to share my gifts in congregational worship, choir leadership & development and orchestral conducting. I believe the worship of our Lord Jesus should demonstrate a first priority of love and devotion to Him, be heart-felt with high energy and require a commitment to excellence.
