Plan A Visit
Visiting A New Church Can Be Intimidating.
So we have compiled a list of commonly asked questions by folks just like you to help ease the first visit. We are so glad you’ve decided to visit us, so please don’t hesitate to send us a message or give us a call to let us know you’re coming! We’re looking forward to meeting you.
How do I get there?
First Baptist Church is located right on Trouble Creek Road in New Port Richey. We are approximately two miles east of US 19, and approximately 0.8 of a mile from Rowan Road. Our address is:
6800 Trouble Creek Road
New Port Richey, FL
Where should I park?
When you enter the driveway, turn into the parking lot on your right. The entire first row closest to the road has been reserved for guests. Park in any available spot.
What Should I Wear?
First Baptist has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casual. We have no expectations for attire.
Where do my kids go?
Babies and preschool will check in at the downstairs preschool desk right near the elevator. One of our volunteers will help you get all the information we need and get checked in. The preschool area is a secure, locked area. Only our staff and approved volunteers will be there.
Children 1st-5th grades will go upstairs to the 2nd floor. Simply take the elevator, and as soon as you step off, you will see the Children’s check in desk. Again, a volunteer will help you.
Students in 6th – 12th grades will be a part of the worship service. They can stay with their parents, or sit with other teens near the front center section, or the left hand section.
NOTE: All children ages 5th Grade and younger check-in with a secure sticker system; the check-in process is quick and easy, and you’re given a secure code where only you can pick them up. In addition, all teachers and caregivers undergo a thorough background check before they’re allowed to serve with children. Your kids are safe at First Baptist!
What is a Sunday Service like?
Our Sunday services offer powerful live worship and Biblical teaching that is relevant to every day life. We have two distinct service styles – Traditional, at 8:30am, is a more blended service with full orchestra and choir. Contemporary, at 11:00am, is a worship band led service. Each service lasts a little longer than an hour.
Adult Bible study classes take place at 9:45am. Stop by the Welcome Center for more information on which class is right for you!
Be sure to say “Hello!”
When you visit, don’t forget to stop by the front desk or grab any pastor or greeter. We’d love to meet you and your family, and answer any questions you may have. We’re so glad you decided to visit First Baptist!
